Description of site:
Two adjoining shallow sea bays, Sapian (the larger of the two) in the west and Capiz in the east, with extensive intertidal mudflats, sandy beaches, mangrove swamps, the estuaries of several small rivers, and associated coastal lagoons and marshes.
Climatic conditions:
Humid tropical climate with the seasons not very pronounced; relatively dry from November to April and wet for the rest of the year (Type HI).
