The study and conservation of bryophyte diversity of Vu Quang protected area in Ha Tinh Province

Objectives

  • To survey and inventory the bryophytes in Vu Quang Protected Area in Central Vietnam
  • To record the habitat, ecology and altitudinal distribution of bryophytes in Vu Quang Protected Area
  • To analyze the floristic affinity and biogeographical relationship of bryophytes in the protected area
  • To establish the various indices of bryophyte diversity using different methods
  • To educate the foresters on the importance of local bryophyte so they can help in the conservation of the endemic and endangered species
  • To create a general database of bryophytes of Vu Quang Protected Area
