Introduction of the rare and endangered medicinal plants into forest garden of ethnic minorities
Objectives
- To study the ex-situ conservation of rare and endangered medicinal plants in the mountainous areas of Northern Vietnam
- To develop these medicinal plants as part of the farms or forest gardens of ethnic minorities.

- Application of agricultural methods to improve the quality and yield of plants
- Application of Ethnopharmacology, market development and education to improve the knowledge of ethnic communities on the conservation of the medicinal plants.
Expected Outcomes
- Conservation of the rare and endangered medical plants
- Turning wild medicinal plants into economical plants would increase the income and improve the living condition of the ethnic minorities in Northern Vietnam.
