- Mapping of forest fire using GPS and participatory mapping
- Study of the causes of fire through PRA and interview
- Study of the flammability and frequency of forest fire
- Assess the impact of forest fire on biodiversity conservation through inventories of plant and animal species affected by forest fire, determination of plant growth after forest fire
- Socio-economic and land use study
- Development of strategies in response to forest fire
- Conduct provincial meeting to discuss the research findings and strategies
