Succession and restitution of species biodiversity in coral reefs ecosystem through a process of transplantation

Objectives

• To built a good habitat for the need of diversity, abundance and domination for various kind of living species in coral reef area.
  
• To observe the productivity, reproduction and the growth data of the biota.

Activities

• Habitat observation for coral re-plantation location. In this activity physical, chemical and biological aspects of the water will be observed.
  
• Survey and inventory of various kinds of biota and the habitat conditions in the area, to determine the biological aspect that are related to growth, food and reproduction as a step in coral reef ecosystem management and conservation.

Expected Outcomes

• Analyzed data of the coral reef transplantation experiment.
  
• Map of the transplanted and rehabilitated area.

ARCBC Remarks

• ARCBC to assign supervisor to give guidance. There are several existing trials that should be reviewed, e.g. Brunei and Singapore.
