20 - 22 September
The 6th Meeting of ASEAN Senior Officials on the Environment (ASOEN) in Bali, Indonesia noted that although the European Union signified the intention to finance the project, the proposal required modifications and should take into account the EC's reformulation.
3 - 4 May
The 5th Meeting of the ASEAN Working Group on Nature Conservation and Biodiversity (AWGNCB) in Manila, Philippines noted that the EC signified its political decision to finance the proposal.
28-30 March
The Fourth Meeting of the ASEAN Standing Committee (ASC) in Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia noted the revised project proposal prepared by the Chairman of the ASEAN Senior Officials on the Environment (ASOEN) for circulation to member countries.
27 March
The EC approved the ASEAN-proposed establishment of ARCBC and expressed readiness to finance the project proposal, as per the letter of Directorate General Juan Prat, which also stated that the Centre will be located in the Philippines.
